Additional context
A platform that let estate agents present their whole portfolio to buyers, with maps, amenities, and contact built in.
01 / Challenge
The problem in front of us.
H&L wanted a platform that let estate agents market property portfolios through consumer-facing websites, while closing gaps in customer insight, portfolio presentation, supply-chain management, and location-based amenity tracking for listed properties.
02 / Approach
How we set the work up.
We deployed six people, a team leader, DBA, QA, and developers, with .NET, Google Maps, and MS SQL 2005 expertise, over seven months from early 2006.
03 / Solution
What we built.
We built a dual-model application: an Agents Kiosk for branded property management and a consumer site with integrated Google Maps. Buyers could search by location, distance from transit and hospitals, and budget, with detailed listings and direct agent contact.
04 / Outcome
What it has held up to.
Agents could spot behavioural trends and tenant patterns, and better customer segmentation enabled more tailored, cost-effective service. The client said our team had gotten them a long way forward on technology.
Stack
What it runs on.
- .NET
- Google Maps API
- MS SQL 2005
